TIPS AND TRICKS TO MOVE AROUND LIKE A PRO.
Ok, now you’re in Maremma for the summer, and you might be wondering: “what to do next? Besides chilling at the hostel, the nearby area is full of places and adventures to discover; here are our insights. The location is just a few minutes away from Grosseto (Tuscany), and the closest places to go catch some rays are Principina Mare and Marina di Grosseto. Nice shores, quiet and easy, you can find free public beach as well as facilities., plus you can try kite-surf, windsurf and sailing, or simply enough just relax. Keep in mind that all of the places we are going to see are accessibile with public transport. Going a little bit further South we find Castiglione della Pescaia, a typical small town that really deserves a visit, you will definitely fall in love with its corners. (#instagramopportunity).
During summer it is quite crowded, but it makes it all more lively! Eating an ice cream in front of the beach is absolutely a must-do. The shore is super long, you could even walk from Marina to Castiglione! The last piece of the shore is “Rocchette”, and it’s freaking amazing! You can choose between the sand part or the stony beach, but the crystal-clear blue water is stunning.
Happiness comes in salty water.
Going southern still, we have Alberese, whose shore is enclosed into the Natural Park, another must-see, with its mediterranean forest and its wildlife. The next one we shall like to advise is Talamone, a tiny but marvelous spot. The most famous shore is “Bagno delle Donne”, a small cove with incredible water and even more incredibile seabed. We reach than an headland, the Argentario, which includes the towns of Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, both worthy of a day trip. All of the Argentario beaches are awesome, you really are going to be spoilt for choice (which is obviously great)!
